The Database section provides access to various operations for maintaining and cleaning databases and for transferring and migrating data. 

Selecting the home button () returns you to the main Control Panel menu. 

Selecting this option starts the dialogue where a user can choose the database and rebuild the link database entries for it.

The Lucene.NET search engine is used by Sitecore by default.

Selecting this option allows to transfer items from one location to another.

This option runs a process that will remove data in invalid languages and items in orphaned trees.

This tool allows to compare two databases or two items in a database.

Selecting this option starts the Sitecore Migration wizard.
